Run Your Car on Water Scams
Like Larry Jarboe, organizer of the first and
only (so far) 2008

here to separate the hype from the hydrogen."
The run your car on water scams abound on the
Internet. In fact, there are so many run your
car on water scams that they have clouded the
water and put a cloud over legitimate run
your car on water devices.

But, how do you tell a scam from the real deal?
When I'm cruising around the Internet looking
at websites that say run your car on water (such
as this one) there are a couple of things that
jump out on me. First, does the website claim
that you can run your entire car on water?
This is a sure sign it is a scam. At present
time, it takes too much energy to electrolyze
water and run an entire car on the resulting HHO
gas. This violates the laws of thermodynamics
and there basically is no such thing as a perpetual
motion or free energy machine.
Second, does the website confuse hydrogen cars
with hydrogen
generators for cars? I've seen websites showing
pictures of hydrogen cars and claiming these are
water cars. They are not. Hydrogen cars use either
compressed or liquid hydrogen and not water and
run the hydrogen either through a fuel cell or
internal combustion engine. Hydrogen cars are
not water cars even though the run your car on
water scam sites would have you think so.
Third, does the website try to scare you? I came
across one website that says you need to buy their
water car product in order to save on gas and
that you don't want a hydrogen car because it
will blow up like the Hindenburg on you.
This is a bunch of baloney for a couple of reasons.
First, you can't buy a hydrogen car because none
are commercially available yet. Second, the Hindenburg
did not blow up because of the hydrogen but rather
the skin of the vessel was coated with something
akin to airplane fuel.
Now, that you get some indication of what the
scams look like, then what does a real run your
car on water site look like? First, they will
talk about electrolysis of water and the resulting
HHO gas as a supplement to the gasoline or diesel
engine.
Second, there will be some guarantees and support
associated with the product. And, third they won't
be making claims that sound too good to be true.
Websites that make wild claims about saving gas
need to be taken with caution. If in doubt check
out what products others are using on the Water
Car Group message boards so that you can benefit
from their experiences.
