Just drop all scientific logic and watch it in action. It works and it does save you gas. The way it works is because yes, what you put in is what you get out (with the loss of energy in the form of heat as well). But what these engineers and scientists forget is that it helps the gasoline burn more efficiently, thereby preventing waste, and thereby capitalizing on that and maximizing fuel efficiency as far as it can go.
