Ronn Scorpion Eco Exotic Car Uses Hydrogen on Demand Technology

Ronn ScorpionThe Ronn Motors Scorpion is an exotic car that uses hydrogen-on-demand technology to achieve 40 miles per gallon. Compare this with other supercars such as the Lamborghini Murcielago that gets nine miles per gallon.

Ronn Motors unveiled the Scorpion today in Austin, Texas where 190 of the cars will be built starting this coming Autumn. The Scorpion comes equipped with a standard Hydrorunner G3 hydrogen generator for cars that will electrolyze 1.5 gallons of water. The G3 uses an onboard dual-process computer that allows 30 to 40 percent oxyhydrogen into the gasoline fuel mix.

Before adding the Hydrorunner, the Scorpion will cruise at around 27 mpg and with the hydrogen-on-demand device this bumps up to 40 mpg for around a 50-percent increase in gas mileage. Also, because the Ronn Scorpion is running a high rate of hydrogen in its internal combustion engine this also cuts down on CO2 and NOX emissions as well.

This eco-exotic car also has a lot of get up and go. The Scorpion can go from 0 to 60 mph in under 4 seconds and achieve a top speed of 208 mph.

It must be noted that this is the first ever pairing of commercial hydrogen-on-demand technology coming standard on a stock automobile. Now, that the Ronn Scorpion has broken through the hydrogen ceiling expect other automakers to test the water car waters as well. It won’t be long until Jiffy Lube is checking all of your auto’s fluids including that of your hydrogen-on-demand device.
