HHT Starts Hydrogen Fuel Injection in South Korea

This is a follow-up to yesterday’s post about a company called Hydrogen Hybrid Technologies (HHT) that has just gotten a contract to install hydrogen fuel injection units in Canadian school buses. I had also mentioned that in 2007 HHT was also moving into the South Korean market installing such units in long-haul trucks.

I found an article from November 2, 2007 on Hydrogen Cars Now that talks about the South Korea government encouraging trucking companies to use an approved hydrogen on demand provider such as HHT in Seoul and the surrounding areas. If the trucking companies install the hydrogen fuel injection systems to reduce emissions and increase mileage they will be allowed to operate in 70-percent of Korea with the worst pollution.

Of course, HHT expects this to be a huge market, with perhaps 100,000 or more trucks signing up for their fuel injection units. It’s amazing how many people on the Internet are still stating that this technology “can’t be done” and my response repeated has been, “It already is, and on a large scale.”

  1. Pollution and fuel savings are two big issues that could be addressed if this technology turns out to be legitimate.
