Hitting the light truck and vehicle marketplace, Modern Technologies Corporation has introduced its newest model of hydrogen generator, the LTV. The hydrogen generator can be used on any four stroke internal combustion engine up to 7.3 liter and any kind of fossil fuel.

The LTV model comes with an advanced CPU control system, efficient hydrogen production and offers long-duty cycle and long lasting reliability. For the doubters and critics that this kind of technology works at all there is a recent study from the Beijing University of Technology that says otherwise.

According to the study, hydrogen added as a supplement to fossil fuel burning internal combustion engines, helps reduce emissions and increase mileage.

Whether you believe in HHO technology, you have to admire on thing and this is that Ronn Motors is willing to put their money where their mouth is. If Ronn Motors succeeds in bringing their Scorpion and H2GO system to market and everything works as advertised, then this will be an industry game changer.

If Ronn Motors fails, however, this will be one of the largest automotive flops in history. So, what is Ronn Motors doing to promote its cause? Plenty. First, Ronn Motors has teamed up with Enterprise Rent-A-Car to field trial their H2GO hydrogen injection system (HHO fuel injection).

Second, Ronn Motors has teamed up with the contractor for FedEx Ground to fleet test the H2GO system under real life conditions. Third, the Ronn Scorpion, complete with its hydrogen on demand system, has been invited to the Indianapolis 500.

Fourth, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger test drove the Scorpion in Sacramento and commented that he wanted to buy one when they became available. And, last but not least, Ronn Motors has contracted with the Infinity Energy Group to buy 40,000 H2GO systems for installation on their fleet of road trucks.

Now, for the skeptics who say HHO simply cannot work, may so. Or maybe not and we will find out in a very big way in a few short months to come.

World Energy Solutions has just acquired H-Hybrid Technologies from the UTEK Corporation. H-Hybrid technologies is known for their patented line of hydrogen gas savers (HHO generators). The hydrogen gas savers electrolyze water on-demand to create oxyhydrogen fuel, which lowers emissions and increases fuel mileage.

According to CEO Ben Croxton of World Energy Solutions, “We believe the addition of this licensed technology will advance our goal of introducing our own system for fuel enhancement and emissions reduction for the OEM marketplace. We feel that combining these technologies with our existing technology will strengthen our intellectual property focused on improving fuel efficiency and lowering emissions in automobiles.”

So, in other words, this is a natural pairing since World Energy Solutions has been working on their own line of hydrogen gas savers for a while. Back in February 2008, World Energy Solutions announced that with their latest prototype they were able to reduce carbon monoxide emissions by 99-percent while increasing fuel mileage by an average of 24-percent.

Usually the companies that engage in the generation of hydrogen target either automobiles or home use, but not both. This is not the case with Generation H (or GH).

In fact, a company called Modern Technology Corporation likes the fact that Generation H is targeting both markets, so much so, that they’ve just purchased a 5-percent stake in GH. The first market for GH is retrofitting both cars and truck with hydrogen gas savers that reduce fuel consumption between 10 and 80-percent.

In addition, Generation H uses this same water electrolysis technology for commercial and residential power creation. With hydrogen gas savers becoming so popular with home builders and small time mechanics it was only a matter of time until corporations would become interested in this market as well.

In earlier posts, I had talked about Ronn H2GO, Ecomobil HFactor and Hydrogen Hybrid Technologies as the larger commercial players getting into or already into the marketplace. Add Generation H to this list as now the big boys have come to play in the hydrogen gas saver arena.

In early June I had talked about the Ronn Motors Scorpion exotic car coming standard with a hydrogen-on-demand (HOD) system that would be the first of its kind anywhere. Now, Ronn Motors of Austin, TX has decided to do itself one better and promotes its H2Go HOD system for use in the long haul trucking industry.

The Scorpion actually uses a Hydrorunner G3 hydrogen on demand system, in which a small amount of water is electrolyzed and the resulting hydrogen is then injected into the supercar’s intake system. Presumably the Hydrorunner will now be relabeled and sold under the Ronn Motors brand.

Ronn Motors will be competing with other large names in the HOD trucking industry including the Canadian Hydrogen Energy Company (CHEC), Hy-Drive Technologies and HyPower Fuel.

CEO of Ronn Motors, Ronn Maxwell is predicting that the H2Go system will save long haul trucker in the range of 25-percent fuel savings. If this number is accurate this could heat up the competition considerably since CHEC is only guaranteeing a minimum of 10-percent savings for long haul trucks.

EcoMobil CEO Mr K.B. Prasad says the Hfactor hydrogen generator will reduce fuel costs by up to 30-percent, which is one of the more believable claims from new companies in this industry.

The Hfactor will cost around $450 USD and will carry a vehicle over 2,000 miles before it needs to be “recharged.” The hydrogen generator kits, besides being sold in India initially will also be manufactured there as well.

The EcoMobil Hfactor is also seeking car manufacturers in India for the device. According to Mr. Prasad this will help with consumer confidence that this emerging technology is viable.

There is a Chandler, Arizona company called Arizona Hybrid Technologies that is creating converts all the time. In fact, according to Dan Radacosky, chief operating officer, “We don’t have customers, we have converts.”

The company has created a hydrogen generator called the Mileage Monster that makes the claim of getting 45-percent increased MPG. Radacosky also theorizes that the major automakers have not come out with a hydrogen gas saver on their own yet because they are so historically embedded with the big oil companies.

Arizona Hybrid Technologies does have a couple of skeptical professors at Arizona State University questioning the science behind how hydrogen generators work. But, this is to be expected as skeptics without HHO generators on their own vehicles will many times remain skeptics.

But, according to the article in the Ahwatukee Foothills News, they were able to track down a very satisfied customer who says she is getting a 7 mpg increase in her 2004 Chevrolet Astro van. As I like to say, the proof is in the vehicle and not on a chalkboard filled with theory.

Hydrogen Hybrid Technologies, the maker of the HFI hydrogen fuel injection system, has decided to cancel 40 million shares of its own stock. Mr. Frank Carino made the common stock cancellation, yet still owns 47-percent of the company.

Hydrogen Hybrid Technologies (HHT) is one of the largest manufacturers of HHO generators in the world, with large contracts in Canada for school buses and South Korea. Hydrogen Hybrid Technologies also has 140 Certified Installation Centers in the U. S. and Canada.

HHT offers a conservative estimate of at least 10-percent in fuel savings to diesel trucks and gasoline-powered cars that use its technology. On the green tech front, HHT’s hydrogen fuel injection technology has passed the Environmental Technology Verification in Canada.

Hydrogen Hybrid Technologies has been around for a while with proven results and continues to be one of the biggest players in this emerging marketplace.

The Ronn Motors Scorpion is an exotic car that uses hydrogen-on-demand technology to achieve 40 miles per gallon. Compare this with other supercars such as the Lamborghini Murcielago that gets nine miles per gallon.

Ronn Motors unveiled the Scorpion today in Austin, Texas where 190 of the cars will be built starting this coming Autumn. The Scorpion comes equipped with a standard Hydrorunner G3 hydrogen generator for cars that will electrolyze 1.5 gallons of water. The G3 uses an onboard dual-process computer that allows 30 to 40 percent oxyhydrogen into the gasoline fuel mix.

Before adding the Hydrorunner, the Scorpion will cruise at around 27 mpg and with the hydrogen-on-demand device this bumps up to 40 mpg for around a 50-percent increase in gas mileage. Also, because the Ronn Scorpion is running a high rate of hydrogen in its internal combustion engine this also cuts down on CO2 and NOX emissions as well.

This eco-exotic car also has a lot of get up and go. The Scorpion can go from 0 to 60 mph in under 4 seconds and achieve a top speed of 208 mph.

It must be noted that this is the first ever pairing of commercial hydrogen-on-demand technology coming standard on a stock automobile. Now, that the Ronn Scorpion has broken through the hydrogen ceiling expect other automakers to test the water car waters as well. It won’t be long until Jiffy Lube is checking all of your auto’s fluids including that of your hydrogen-on-demand device.

I found an article from November 2, 2007 on Hydrogen Cars Now that talks about the South Korea government encouraging trucking companies to use an approved hydrogen on demand provider such as HHT in Seoul and the surrounding areas. If the trucking companies install the hydrogen fuel injection systems to reduce emissions and increase mileage they will be allowed to operate in 70-percent of Korea with the worst pollution.

Of course, HHT expects this to be a huge market, with perhaps 100,000 or more trucks signing up for their fuel injection units. It’s amazing how many people on the Internet are still stating that this technology “can’t be done” and my response repeated has been, “It already is, and on a large scale.”
